Vignerons de Valençay Sauvignon Blanc

From France's self-proclaimed smallest co-op! This wine is made by Sebastien Vaillant in the hills around the river Cher, a tributory of the Loire that shares the flinty soils that characterise the finest vineyards of Sancerre.

The wine has a taste of its fancy cousins - cool stones and exhilarating raciness - but with more exuberant fruit tang and elderflower fragrance that makes it delicious young. A top wine to have around.
